Centennial Secondary School Breaks Records

When students at Centennial Secondary School in Coquitlam, BC decided to host a MOVE4MANA Challenge, they had no idea they would break records. Over the course of two weeks in February 2024, 320 students tracked their physical activities on the MoveSpring app, converting their Active Points into life-saving RUTF packets.

The challenge featured creative activities like dance-offs, yoga sessions, walking clubs, and even musical chairs tournaments. Students earned a total of 4,800 RUTF packets — enough to save approximately 32 children's lives.

"It was amazing to see how excited everyone got about being active while knowing they were making a real difference," said the student organizer. "We learned so much about leadership, marketing, and teamwork."

The success at Centennial has inspired neighboring schools to sign up for their own challenges, creating a ripple effect of positive change across the community.
